The main entrance to Our School in the Woods can be found off Highmarsh Cresent, which is off Nell Lane across the road from the Siemens visitor car park. Our nearest post code is M20 2DU, which takes you to Highmarsh Crescent.
The gate is open at 9am and 3:15pm each Tuesday and Wednesday. If you arrive at the woods outside of these times, just give us a call and someone will open the gate for you.
Arriving by car
If you arrive by car, please park on Highmarsh Crescent (indicated on the map).
Arriving by bike
We are always keen to encourage sustainable forms of transport, feel free to bring your bike inside the gates during drop off and pick up to keep it safe.
Arriving by tram
The nearest tram stop to our site is Burton Road. To get to our school from there, turn right when you exit the stop on Burton Road (heading South) and continue along the road. When you see Withington Community Hospital turn right down Nell Lane. Continue down Nell Lane. Turn right down Highmarsh Crescent. Turn left down the track which leads to the entrance to our site.
Arriving by bus
There are many different bus services which link us to our site. On the map you can see three different bus stops which link to different services:
Bus Stop A
This bus stop is on Princess Road and links to the following bus services: 101, 102, 103, 172 and 276. To arrive at our site from this stop simply head North along Princess Road a short distance and turn right on to Nell Lane. You will see the perimeter of the woods here, follow the fence until you reach Highmarsh Cresent. Turn left down the track which leads to the entrance to our site.
Bus Stop B
This bus stop is on Nell Lane right across from our school and links to the 276 bus service. To get to the school entrance, walk along Nell Lane away in the opposite direction to Princess road, following the fence which is the edge of our woodland until you reach Highmarsh Cresent. Turn left down the track which leads to the entrance to our site.
Bus Stop C
This bus stop is on Burton road very close to The Co-Op and Withington Community Hospital. It links to the following bus services: 111, 172, 179 and 278. To arrive at our site from this stop simply turn down Nell Lane at the Withington Community Hospital and continue down Nell Lane. Turn right down Highmarsh Crescent. Turn left down the track which leads to the entrance to our site.
