Natasha
Natasha is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader and Ofsted registered childminder working with early years and primary school aged children. Natasha has also worked in mental health and holds a level 3 Counselling Skills certificate and has a degree in Criminology & Social Policy. Natasha currently delivers Forest School for an after school club and runs a monthly nature mentoring group in Manchester. Natasha has two children and as a family they spend as much time as possible outdoors playing, exploring and creating. Natasha also enjoys running in the rain, yoga, foraging, walking up hills, finding new spots to swim in and learning to play the piano. |
Esme
Esme is a Forest School assistant and has previously worked for The Wood School in this role. She began volunteering in primary schools after many years in the travel industry and has a passion for supporting children and helping them thrive. She is working towards completing an English Language degree and completed her Forest School Level 3 qualification in June 2022. Esme has four children: two with ASD and ADHD. She has completed many courses to gain a good understanding of social communication and sensory processing difficulties. In her spare time she enjoys long walks in the countryside, days at the seaside and spending time outdoors exploring with her children. |
Hannah
Hannah is a Forest School assistant. She recently started her Forest School Level 3 training, and has previously volunteered with after school clubs in her local area. She has experience with teaching English as a foreign language to children abroad. Hannah has a degree in journalism and has spent the last five years working in hospitality and in kitchens as a chef. Hannah loves being outdoors and cooking with locally sourced produce. She enjoys wild swimming and using her bike to explore the world around her. |
More About The Team
At Our School in the Woods, our purpose is to help children grow and thrive. Ellen and Amanda are both parents who have worked extensively with children. We are fully DBS-checked and trained in Non Violent Communication (NVC), Parent Effectiveness Training (PET trainer: Mary Maclachlan), Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene and Safety. All staff meet regularly to plan and to discuss best how to meet the needs of the children in their care. We have a talented team of supply staff who are available at short notice to work at Our School in the Woods. This team come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, but all have Forest School qualifications, experience of working with children and are referenced and fully DBS-checked. |
